NASBS Travel Scholarship Program

The North American Skull Base Society (NASBS) Travel Scholarship program was created to promote collaboration, education, and training in Skull Base Surgery. The NASBS Travel Scholarship Program offers the International Travel Scholarship, the Fred Gentili Travel Scholarship, and the North American Travel Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded annually, supporting travel to the NASBS Annual Meeting and offering an opportunity to complete a one-week observership at a participating institution.

International Travel Scholarship

The International Travel Scholarship is open to international scholars in a junior faculty position. The scholarship includes US $2,000, complimentary registration to attend the Pre-Meeting Dissection Course, complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting, and an opportunity to spend one week as a Visiting Scholar and guest of a NASBS member’s institution immediately following the Annual Meeting.

Fred Gentili International Travel Scholarship

The Fred Gentili International Scholarship was created in honor of Dr. Fred Gentili. This scholarship is open to residents/trainees looking to gain experience in neurosciences and skull base pathology. The scholarship includes US $3,000, complimentary registration to the Pre-meeting Dissection Course, complimentary registration to attend the NASBS Annual Meeting, and an opportunity to spend one week as a Visiting Scholar and guest of a NASBS member’s institution immediately following the Annual Meeting.

North American Travel Scholarship

The North American Travel Scholarship is open to neurosurgery residents, head & neck fellows, and junior faculty (defined as less than five years in practice) and who are citizens of the USA, Canada, and/or Mexico. Membership in the NASBS is a requirement for this scholarship. The recipients of this scholarship receive US $1,000, complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting, and an opportunity to spend one week as a Visiting Scholar and guest at a NASBS member’s institution.
