Fellowship Program Description: | The Skull Base Surgery Fellowship in the Department of Neurological Surgery at The Ohio State University offers advanced comprehensive training in skull base surgery. The fellowship is designed for those individuals who are planning a full-time academic career with a special interest and emphasis in open and endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery. Our team works closely with world-class colleagues in the Department of OtolaryngologyโHead and Neck Surgery. The neurosurgical Skull Base Surgery Clinical Fellow will be exposed to a variety of disease processes including anterior skull base, endoscopic endonasal surgery, lateral skull base, and craniocervical junction. Our practice comprises about half open craniotomy and half endoscopic endonasal surgery. We perform approximately 350 skull base procedures yearly. |
