Additional Information
Anatomical Dissection Laboratory
A physician who is fully trained in neurosurgery will receive hands-on training from some of the most knowledgeable multi-disciplinary specialists in the field and through a collaborative relationship with our ENT department. The clinical component will consist of all aspects of complex intracranial surgery, including endoscopic skull base surgery, aneurysm/AVM surgery, complex skull base tumors, cerebrovascular bypass, acoustic neuroma surgery, awake craniotomy techniques, and intraventricular endoscopy.
Laboratory Research Opportunities
The research component of the Skull Base Surgery fellowship year is both clinical and basic and runs concurrently with the clinical program. Basic research focuses on development of innovative surgical approaches or refinement of existing approaches supported by cadaveric dissection and clinical/outcomes/technique based projects. New project ideas are encouraged.
