This session covers the challenging topic of management of osteoradionecrosis of the skull base following treatment for malignancy. This will include an update on pathophysiology, presentation, prevention and medical management, as well as on surgical management with focus on reconstructive options.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize skull base Osteoradionecrosis and its risk factors.
- Develop a strategy for non surgical and surgical management depending on the severity of the disease.
- Identify reconstructive options after surgical treatment of skull base osteoradionecrosis.
