Anatomical Dissection Laboratory

We have a comprehensive Anatomical dissection laboratory and a scheduled curriculum of 12 dissections (1 / month) with specific skull-base surgical topics addressed including guest lectures and dissections with Dr. Dennis Malkasian, MD. The fellow is encouraged to use the skull-base laboratory resources (injected cadaver heads, surgical equipment, video recording equipment and neuronavigation measuring capabilities) along with our lab manager / medical illustrator, to develop new skull-base anatomy projects.

Laboratory Research Opportunities

We have a dynamic relationship with basic science researchers at the John Wayne Cancer Institute conducting genomic, epigenomic, cell-culture, vaccine studies, immunotherapy, molecular biology and other research. There is ample opportunity to collaborate and intramural funding is available for eligible projects
