This video presents the endoscopic transorbital approach for resection of right amygdalohippocampal glioma.
This is a 76-year-old male patient who arrived with confusion, absences, and work amnesia. The MRI showed an expansive lesion of the right hippocampus suggestive of diffuse mesiotemporal glioma.
A minimally invasive endoscopic transorbital resection was proposed. This technique allows preservation of the lateral temporal neocortex and optic radiation while giving a working corridor in the long axis of the hippocampus.
