V049: TRANSPALPEBRAL ENDOSCOPIC ASSISTED APPROACH FOR ORBITAL MASS RESECTION: 2-DIMENSIONAL OPERATIVE VIDEO
Michelle S Miller, MD1; Andrew Janssen, MD1; Matthew Migneron, MD2; Joseph Lockwood, MD3; 1Tulane Ochsner Neurosurgery; 2Tulane Otolaryngology; 3Tulane Neurosurgery

A 74 year old male presented to clinic with 2 years of progressive left eye proptosis, ophthalmoplegia, and diplopia. Preoperative imaging showed an extraconal superior medial orbital mass with both cystic and osseous components with significant mass effect upon the globe. A transpalpebral approach for endoscopic assisted resection of this orbital lesion was performed without complication, as illustrated here. Pathology confirmed benign osteofibrous dysplasia. Extraocular movements improved postoperatively with resolution of diplopia.
