V034: CONTRALATERAL ORBITOPTERIONAL APPROACH FOR ANTERIOR SKULL BASE MENINGIOMA RESECTION
Serdar Rahmanv, MD; Mohammadmahdi Sabahi, MD; Qais Alrashidi, MD; Hamid Borghei-Razavi, MD; Badih Adada, MD; Cleveland Clinic Florida

This video demonstrates an anterior skull base meningioma causing vasogenic edema due to compression of the frontopolar vein. A contralateral orbitopterional craniotomy was chosen as the minimally invasive approach that best avoided bifrontal morbidity. The infrafrontal corridor facilitated the preservation of the olfactory and optic nerves, the carotid artery, and the frontopolar vein. Postoperative MRI confirmed gross total resection, edema resolution, and intact neurological function at five weeks.
