V003: STA-M3, ECA-RAG-M3 AND M3-M3 BYPASS FOR TRAPPING OF PREVIOUSLY CLIPPED AND STENT ASSISTED COILED GIANT MCA ANEURYSM
Eva M Wu, MD; Mustafa Motiwala, MD; Adam S Arthur, MD; Nickalus R Khan, MD; University of Tennessee Health Science Center

Recurrent MCA aneurysms can require a more complex treatment strategy. We present a patient with a recurrent previously clipped and stent assisted coiled giant MCA aneurysm. Notably, he suffered mild receptive aphasia after these interventions at an outside hospital. Given the recurrence, trapping of this aneurysm with superficial temporal artery-M3, external carotid artery-RAG-M3 and M3-M3 bypass was selected for treatment. The case presentation, relevant surgical anatomy, operative details, and postoperative course are reviewed.
