Background: The purpose of this report is to demonstrate a complicated case of a patient who presented with pneumocephalus due to tegmen erosion. Patient had a history of glioblastoma who was on Avastin. Craniotomy was thought to be of high risk due to multiple previous surgeries and being on Avastin.
Results: Eustachian tube closure was accomplished via fat graft and a nasoseptal flap. Patient’s pneumocephalus resolved after the procedure and craniotomy was avoided.
Conclusion: We demonstrate the versatility and novel use of nasoseptal flap in closure of eustachian tube to address patient’s pneumocephalus from tegmen erosion. Craniotomy was avoided.
