P408: MIDDLE CRANIAL FOSSA DEFECT INTO THE MAXILLARY SINUS: RECONSTRUCTION WITH A NASOSEPTAL FLAP
Christopher Jabbour, MD; Carlos Pinheiro-Neto, MD, PhD; Mayo Clinic
A 68-year-old patient with stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the left maxillary sinus was referred to our care for management of CSF leak. They were managed with chemoradiotherapy and subsequently developed osteoradionecrosis of the posterosuperior wall of the maxillary sinus, exposing the middle cranial fossa. Careful debridement of the bone and dura was done, and the skull base defect was reconstructed with a contralateral nasoseptal flap.
