Matias L Costa; Brian T Oliver, MD; Christopher Young, MD, PhD; Peter Kan; University of Texas Medical Branch
A middle-aged African-American woman with essential hypertension, non-smoker, presented with months of headaches and was found to have 7 aneurysms on brain angiography. A right pterional and interhemispheric approach in 1 session allowed clipping of two MCA, one A1, one ophthalmic, two pericallosal, and a callosomarginal aneurysm. Intraoperative doppler and ICG, and postoperative DSA ensured vessel preservation and excluded aneurysms. The patient recovered well, with no neurological deficits post-surgery and remains asymptomatic at two-month follow-up.
