P301: IATROGENIC OPTIC CHIASM COMPRESSION PRESENTING AS PITUITARY MASS RECURRENCE: FINDINGS DURING REVISION EXTENDED ENDONASAL APPROACH AFTER SURGERY AT OUTSIDE INSTITUTION
Diana Bigler, MD; Brooke Sligh; James K Byrd, MD; Medical College of Georgia
We present a 29 year old female with history of pituitary mass resected at an outside institution with post-operative panhypopituitarism, complete right vision loss, and left visual impairment who was taken to the operating room due to concern for recurrent disease and worsening of visual symptoms. Intraoperative findings showed diffuse scarring and packing causing iatrogenic compression of the optic chiasm. Adipose graft was performed for reconstruction as nasoseptal flap vascular supply had been compromised.
