All submitters will be notified of their abstract acceptance status by mid-November 2011.
Only abstract reviewers will have access to the submission site.
On behalf of the NASBS, President Dennis Kraus will be awarding three $500 Awards for the following categories:
- Best Paper by a Medical Student
- Best Resident Clinical Research Paper
- Best Resident Basic Science Paper
All awards are open ONLY to medical students / residents who are selected for Oral Presentations at the 22nd North American Skull Society Annual Meeting. All award winners MUST submit a manuscript to Skull Base Journal.
Authors who wish to compete for an award must submit a completed manuscript to the Chair of the Awards Committee by Monday, December 5, 2011 to be eligible (More specifics will be provided in abstract acceptance notifications).
All authors who intend to submit a manuscript for competition must notify the NASBS of their intent at the time of their abstract submission by checking off the award they wish to compete for. Only previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered for awards.
NASBS will be accepting online submissions for either oral or poster presentation. Awards will be available for Residents and Trainees. Topics include:
- Ant Cranial Base
- Sellar/Suprasellar Tumors
- Head and Neck tumors
- Skull base Vascular lesions
- Temporal bone/otology/acoustic tumors
- Endoscopic techniques
- Meninigiomas
- Chordomas
- Skull Base Radiosurgey
- Skull Base Anatomy
- Innovative Technologies
- Skull base Trauma
- Rehabilitation
- General topics
