Annual Meeting - Program Information

PROGRAM INFORMATION

PRE-MEETING COURSES

The Pre-Meeting Courses will include a two day Workshop on Skull Base Approaches with hands-on cadaver dissection. There will also be a one day Practical Course, Surgical Approaches to the Skull Base, featuring 3-D video slide presentations of surgical procedures and cadaver dissections by the experts in the field. The Pre-Meeting Courses will be supported by educational grants from Midas Rex, NMT Neurosciences and Carl Zeiss, Inc.

Facilities:

The courses will be held in the Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa just prior to the Annual Meeting.

Tuition/Registration:

To ensure the maximum benefit to each participant, enrollment in the hands-on Workshop has been limited to 40 individuals (Note: At the 2000 Annual Meeting, enrollment was filled early). Enrollment in the Practical Course will be limited to 100 registrants. Registration will be confirmed in the order in which payment is received. Participants requiring special accommodations for their participation in the course should include those requests along with their registration.

The fee for the two day hands-on Workshop is $1,000. The fee for the Practical Course is $500. If you register for both Pre-Meeting Courses (the hands-on Workshop and the Practical Course), you will receive a $100 discount. For residents/fellows, the fee for the Workshop is $800 and $400 for the Practical Course. Residents registering for both courses will also receive a $100 discount. These fees are detailed on the registration form in this brochure.

In the event of cancellation prior to January 3, 2001, a 10% administration fee will be assessed. Because of the need to limit enrollment, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged after January 3, 2001. After February 15, 2001, no refunds are possible.

DISCLOSURE OF COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIPS

As a sponsor accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the Society and the Continuing Medical Education Committee of the North American Skull Base Society must insure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its individually sponsored or jointly sponsored educational activities. All speakers and faculty participating in a sponsored activity are expected to disclose to the activity audience any significant financial interest or other relationship (1) with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) and/or provider(s) of commercial services discussed in an educational presentation and (2) with any commercial supporters of the activity (significant financial interest or other relationship can include such things as grants or research support, employee, consultant, major stock holder, member of speakers bureau, etc.).
